It will also help determine if your condition is suitable or would benefit from chiropractic treatment with Dr. Gregory Johnson, Your Houston Chiropractor.
Vertebral Subluxation
Vertebral subluxation is a result of the spine in which alignment, movement integrity and physiological functions are compromised due to functional, structural, and/or pathological articular changes. Causes of vertebral subluxation include car accidents, bad posture, sitting for long hours, alcohol or drugs use, improper lifting and emotional stress.
These factors can cause the spine’s vertebrae to lose its healthy motion or position, causing various health problems. At the Advanced Chiropractic Relief, we detect, address vertebral subluxation, and relieve pain.
Abnormal motion or position of spinal bones
This condition occurs when the spine or vertebrae have lost their normal motion and position. It restricts the ability to turn and bend. It sets in motion the other four components.
Abnormal Nervous System Function
This condition is caused by improper spinal function that blocks, pulls or irritates delicate nerve tissue, causing symptoms in various parts of the body depending on the nerve affected.
Abnormal Muscle Functions
When the muscles supporting the spine tightens, weakens, go into spasm or suffers from atrophy, it results in change of muscle tone. This condition requires repeated spinal adjustments.
Abnormal Soft Tissue Function
This condition is caused by a rise in temperature from an increased blood or lymph supply, resulting in herniation, tearing, degeneration, swelling or inflammation of the discs. Other soft tissues may suffer permanent damage.
Abnormal Spine and Body Function
This condition occurs when bone spurs and other abnormal bony growths fuse abnormal spinal joints. Spinal decay, scar tissue, and other nerve dysfunction can cause other symptoms of the body to fail.
